Robert and Chelsea – Relais Villa Vittoria, Elopement Photographer Lake Como

In the summer of 2016, I had just moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. I figured I did not know a sole in town, so I would see what these dating apps were all about. Found a cute guy and after a few days of texting back and forth, I decided to meet Robert at a bar walking distance from my apartment. One drink turned into a whole night, and next thing you know we were inseparable. Fast forward a few years, since working in the hospital in the Emergency Room, holidays are often celebrated on our schedule, so we had Christmas a few days late. Robert went to top off our glasses of Champagne, switching out the glasses for ones that he had customized. He handed me a monogram glass saying “You will need this next year.” Left confused, he hands me the other glass that reads “Marry Me?” reaching down under the chair to pull out a ring box. We often reminisce about that magical night, captured forever by our cherished Lake Como wedding photographer Paolo Ceritano.

Obviously the next morning the wedding planning begins, and we decide we want to have a wedding in the Bahamas and book flights down to see the venue a few weeks later. The venue was beautiful and we could picture ourselves dancing under the palm trees with all of our friends and family. It quickly came to a halt when we found our dream home, and the wedding planning turned into a circus. Thats when we came across some breathtaking pictures from elopements in Italy. Several of our friends had eloped and always said it was the best decision they had made. We found an amazing planner, she made it so easy, sent her the photos we fell in love with and that is what appeared on the day. She sent me a few Lake Como wedding photographers, and I immediately fell in love with Paolo’s work, knowing I could trust these pictures were going to be able to recreate the images that sold us on the whole Italian elopement dream.

Moreover, during our search, we discovered the enchanting landscapes around Lake Como, making us consider a destination wedding in Italy. That’s when we decided to explore the option of hiring a Lake Como wedding photographer to capture the magic of our special day in this picturesque location.

Flying from Miami, and packing for a two week trip, I knew I needed a dress I could throw in a bag and climb in a boat in. The lace dress with the low cut back was the perfect selection, classic but easy.

Our wedding day was exactly what we had imagined. The lake Como wedding photographer Paolo Ceritano captured every moment. It was stress free, on our schedule. We laid by the pool in the morning, enjoying the view of the mountains surrounding the lake. After lunch we got ready together in the room, making sure Robert did not see the dress beforehand though!

Paolo coordinated perfectly for me to meet Robert downstairs for the ceremony, creating a first look experience. After the short and sweet ceremony, a boat picked us up for a sunset cruise. Robert’s one request for the wedding was “I want to take pictures on a boat in my suit”. They are more than we could have ever imagined. After the boat ride, the hotel had set up a private dinner in a vine covered gazebo filled with candles and flowers.

Paolo was the best Lake Como wedding photographer that I could have chosen, and he made our big day even more special.

Looking back at the entire process, we would not change a single thing.
